The development of 2D and 3D models as platforms to study the biology and mechanics of the fetal membrane and improve drug evaluation for pregnancies who rupture their membranes before the onset of labour or before 37 weeks gestation. The development of tissue chip prototypes that mimic the reproductive system to study fetal membrane healing and repair after iatrogenic PPROM.
