This would be a fantastic way to model and study symbiont-host relationships for my focus organisms the gregarine apicomplexans, which infect invertebrates only, but are closely related to the causative agents of Malaria and Toxoplasmosis. I aim to understand the evolution of parasitism within the Apicomplexa.
