I have an avid interest in infection and immunity, particularly respiratory fungal infections. Although there are a growing number of suitable models to explore fungal pathogenesis, few can completely imitate the condition observed in the human lung. Therefore, organ-on-a-chip models of the lung could represent a valuable tool in the investigation of respiratory fungal infections.
