We would like to exploit the Emulate Intestine-Chips based model system to investigate the role of microbiota-gut epithelial cells interactions in modulating the gut epithelium barrier functions and proteostasis and how these influence the gut susceptibility to, and dynamic of, Microsporidia infections.
