My research involves development of novel CMOS micro-systems which integrate arrays of chemical sensors to be used as platforms for Organ-on-Chip research. The technology enables for the first time real-time spatio-temporal analysis of chemical ions released from cells growing on the chip in addition to providing diagnostic utility through detection of nucleic acids and antibodies when used in a lab-on-chip configuration.
