3D tissue engineered cancer models, tumouroids, cancer nanotechnology, targeted cancer theranostics
We mimic cancer tissues in vitro, by recapitulating in 3D specific components (structures, cells, proteins) of the solid mass. The resultant tumouroid models are used for studies in: disease progression; and response to targeted treatments. Tumouroids allow for interrogation of mechanisms at the tissue, cellular and molecular events, in dynamic conditions.
