This network represents a unique opportunity to seek and stablish national collaborations towards my research mission: frame the design of therapies for chronic diseases as a control problem applied to living dynamical systems. This requires combining human big data with organ-on-chip disease models and machine learning algorithms to deliver patients’ tailored solutions to open health challenges. Further, it will provide context to ensure engineering students enrolled in the Lab-On-Chip technology course I teach will have access to inspiring content at the forefront of the organ-on-a-chip research field.
I am happy for individuals outside my research group (particularly early career researchers) to present at one of my (online) group meetings – please contact me if you are interested.
