The use of chemistry and engineering to make physiologically-relevant in vitro cell culture models of kidney cells. We are exploring biological mechanisms in specialised cells of the kidney collecting duct and vasculature which contribute to the regulation of blood pressure. The generation of scaffolds and dynamic flow-based systems compatible with high resolution imaging and photonics is of interest.
