I would like to recreate, on a chip, a miniaturised human muscle, either healthy or dystrophic, by combining myogenic, vascular cells and motoneurons, with appropriate ECM components or biomaterials. This would allow a medium-throughput study of the effect of cell or gene or drug therapy on the production of the protein mutated in the specific form of muscular dystrophy.
