Research Interests
Liver diseases, mitochondria, immunocompetent ex vivo models, precision cut tissue slices, liver cancer
One of my interests is developing ex vivo experimental models to study liver diseases and malignancies, using dynamic cultures of human precision-cut tissue slices.
My research investigates the role of mitochondria in the pathogenesis and progression of Alcohol-related liver diseases with the final aim to target these organelles for therapeutic purposes.
I am happy for individuals outside my research group (particularly early career researchers) to present at one of my (online) group meetings – please contact me if you are interested.
I would like to present at group meetings organised by individual group leads – please contact me if you have an opportunity.
