My research interests are focused on investigating the mechanical and cellular mechanisms involved in the dissemination of cancer cells. In particular, the role of external physical forces, including fluid flow, and the tumor microenvironment in modulating the invasion of cancer cells is a field of special interest. For this, I combine innovative biophysics methods, nanotechnology, and cell biology tools to develop integrative approaches, where microfluidics and organ-on-a-chip technology play a fundamental role.
