Modern healthcare undergoes rapid development and increasingly high demands. The development of on-chip platforms to emulate the response of the human body to physical and chemical stimuli, as well as for medical testing applications, has the potential to offer a truly innovative approach in this field. My research regards in situ biosensing and continuous monitoring of the ocular physiology, and the development of an eye-on-chip platform in parallel to my research will be beneficial from several points of view.
