Organs-on-Chips Centre

The Network helped to leverage over £1 million of funding to establish the Queen Mary+Emulate Organs-on-Chips Centre and associated Proof of Concept Funding. This Centre provides access to the Human Emulation system with blank chips and Emulate's  supported models such as kidney, liver, intestine, lung and brain. Funding for the Centre currently extends to December 2023 and includes a Centre Scientist, a technician and over £120k of equipment. In addition the Network has partnered with Emulate to offer 4 rounds of proof of concept funding available for Network members to support the development and use of organ-chip models using the Emulate platform.
